A simple guide to mastering picture descriptions:

• Focus on the composition: foreground, centre, background

• Describe the foreground
• Move to the centrepiece:  aircraft, people, structures
• Look at the background and horizon: sky and weather
• Go deeper - hypothesise about the scene
